Check a renewal scenario

Use your present annual subscription as the starting amount. Enter the proposed percentage increase and the annual price of any additional users or modules in the fixed scope field. Add a transition charge only if it belongs in the next-year cash budget. The examples on this page are illustrative arithmetic, not published renewal rates.

The increase plus additional scope equals current subscription × increase / 100 + additional annual scope. The next-year total adds that figure and any one-time transition cost to the current subscription. For an illustrative $24,000 subscription, a 5% increase, $3,000 of added scope, and $1,000 in transition costs, the increase plus scope is $4,200 and next-year total is $29,200.

This is a one-year comparison. It does not compound increases, apply proration, calculate taxes, or decide whether the contract permits the increase. Do not apply an increase to a fee that is exempt under your contract. Compare the output with the renewal notice, order form, and actual billing schedule before approving payment.
